    Dear Mr. Serif:

Anne Arundel County Public Schools would like copyright permission to use an image of your painting, Triangle Abstract, found at http://www.samserif.com/index.php/paintings-2/. This image would be available to teachers as part of the arts integration/mathematics e-curriculum.

Our e- curriculum provides an instructional framework for classroom learning activities. Resources like yours enhance our curriculum and benefit our students and are made available to our faculty through our controlled, password protected Intranet site. If you do not manage the copyright on all of the above mentioned material, I would appreciate any contact information you may have regarding the proper rights holder(s). Otherwise, your permission confirms that you hold the right to grant the permission requested here. Thank you very much for considering my request. If you require any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me. Please indicate by email, your agreement with the terms as described above.

    Thank you.

  2. Dear Mr Arundel.
Hello, I’m Cass King and I have a band called the Cassettes, erstwhile known as ‘The Next Right Thing’. https://www.facebook.com/CKNextRightThing/

We are inspired by your ‘Tape-Man’ image and would like to know if we could either commission you to create a custom one featuring the silhouettes of our band members, or pay you for the rights to create a derivative work. We would like to use the image on our upcoming CD, as well as on band merchandise. We are an unsigned band based in Vancouver, BC.

Do you have any interest in licensing the image in this way?

    Thanks kindly,

    Cass King
